It is common, mostly in corporate environment, that SSID (wireless network) is hidden, or not broadcasted for security reasons. Information you need to know in order to configure hidden SSID are name, encryption method if present and password or pre-shared key.
Configuring this may vary, depending on Android version or even device type. I did this tutorial on Sony Xperia, but i know that some options are not on same place on screen/interface. Point is to know process, logic in configuring device. If you know that you will easily find options on screen
First task is to select Settings on your Android device (Slide 1.) and on WIRELESS & NETWORKS screen select Wi-Fi (Slide 2.).
Find and select + or on some devices find drop down option and/or find Add Network option (Slide 3.).
Type Network SSID, select security method and password (Sldie 4). For all of this you`ll need to ask network owner or network administrators. In many cases, in corporate networks, there are some advanced options that needs to be configured. Select check box Show advanced options.
Select Proxy IP address if needed and/or select IP settings: DHCP or statically configured IP address (Slide 5). These are also information that have to be provided to you by corporate network authorities.
I hope you find this tutorial useful.
