Insert watermark to MS Word document

As well as header and footer, watermark is considered as mandatory element of document. Most of people add company logo as watermark but there are some other options. Insert watermark in order to protect and label your document

Open your document and select Page Layout tab (Slide 1). On selected tab select Watermark icon (Slide 2).

On opened dialog you can select one of predefined options or you can choose your own file as future watermark. Select Custom Watermark… (Slide 3).

Check Picture watermark options and then select Select Picture… button in order to pick your logo for watermark (Slide 4 & Slide 5).

Check Washout option if you want to fade your watermark to look like it`s in background and select Scale to adjust size of the watermark (Slide 6). Your watermark will be instantly inserted to your document.

Of course, you can add text watermark instead of picture. Select Language, Text, Font, Size and Colour of watermark text. Layout can be Diagonal or Horizontal. On the end you can select semitransparent option for watermark (Slide 7).
