There is a belief that for Linux operating systems, there are no viruses. OK, to be honest, there are not many Viruses but there are numerous threats that can harm your PC. Another reason why you need to install AntiVirus software is fact that from time to time you have to scan some Windows drive or files originating from Windows. Email messages too, need to be scanned. Also, due to strict company policies, you may not be able to connect to corporate network without this piece of software.
I use Clam AV and installation is very light. Go to Ubuntu Software and in search bar just type virus (Slide 1.). Two files will appear (Slide 2.).
Select second one ( I can not show you on slide, because I have already installed Clam AV) for installation.
On finished installation icon will appear on side bar. Start software and first select update, regarding fact that installation comes with no signatures (Slide 3). On next window select OK in order to start update (Slide 4.).
Now you can start scanning your data. Select Scan a directory or Scan a file (Slide 5) and then select data to be scanned (Slide 6.).
Select OK to start scanning. On the end you will be informed about scanning results (Slide 7.).
Now you are safe and equipped for accessing corporate network.
