It`s in some way, manual backup. Total Commander was the first file manager that I start to use on Windows OS. Was it on Windows 98? I thick it was Windows 98.
Anyway, I am fun of photography and I use directory synchronization on daily base to synchronize my primary with my backup location. For this purpose I just created two directories with WordPress installation, one on each partition. I have changed few files on primary location in order to show you how to synchronize directories.
Notice on Slide 1. two wordpress directories on two locations. You need to navigate to them. I always navigate to original directory on left side and to backup directory on the right side of the panel. Select Commands on tools bar.
Then select Synchronize Dirs… (Slide 2.).
On slide 3. you have to compare content of sub directories and files and in correct direction. Check buttons rounded with red, and select compare.
On slide 4. please notice that two files on left side (original location) are different from files on right side (that’s because I have changed them). Locate and select Synchronize button.
On slide 5 & 6 confirm synchronization from left to right and overriding of files.
After synchronization you should see empty screen for synchronization, indicating that job is done (Slide 7.).
If you did not start using Total Commander by now, you can download it from this location.
I hope that this tutorial was informative to you and thank you for visiting this website.
